Charlotte Ann Drumbeater-Voas, age 49, of Minneapolis, Minnesota began her journey to the spirit world on Thursday, March 12th, 2020. She was born on September 30, 1970 in Cass Lake, MN, the daughter of Gladys Burnette and Charles Drumbeater.

Charlotte grew up and was educated in Minneapolis after being adopted at the age of four by Jo and Duane Voas. She was a very happy, outgoing and friendly woman who was always helping her friends whenever she could. Charlotte loved to read, watch movies, listen to rock music and journal. It is rumored that she even wrote a book about her family at some point in her life. She was an artistic person, making birthday cards, collages and beading earrings, necklaces and some of her clothes. She will most definitely be missed by those who knew and loved her.

Family that Charlotte is reunited with are her father, Charles Drumbeater; son, Alexander Bellanger; significant other, William Bellanger; sister, Sharon Lee Drumbeater-Voas; niece, Brenda Renae Swearinger; aunt, Beverly Allen and her cousin, Everett Allen.

She leaves behind her sons, Brett Thorsen of Minneapolis and Michael Tanner of Bemidji; daughter, Renae Tanner of Bemidji; mother, Gladys Sandland of Minneapolis; adopted parents, Duane Voas and Jo Kallmeyn; sister, Gina Tanner of Bemidji; brother, Michael Grossohme of Pine River; grandchildren, Azaiah Jackson and one to arrive in May; aunties, Sharon Burnette, Roxanne and Marilyn Drumbeater; special aunt, Annette; uncles, Ron, Willis and Michael Burnette and her many friends.

A Celebration of Charlotte's Life began at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 24th, 2020 at the Prescott Community Center in Cass Lake, MN. Willis Burnette was her Spiritual Advisor. Her pallbearers were Logan Allen, Tim Whitefeather, Johnson Whitefeather, Ethan Burnette and Steve Whitefeather. Her honorary pallbearers were her son Brett Thorsen and all her other relatives. At Charlotte's request, her cremains will remain with her mother and her son.
