Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians issues state of emergency; Road closures in place

CHEROKEE, N.C. (WLOS) — The Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians (EBCI) has amended its state of emergency that was put in place Friday.

On March 21, 2020, EBCI said in a release that it will be suspending all tribal operations and closing all tribal offices, except for employees who are required to work to maintain critical services.
