Warriors season ends with upset overtime loss to Blackduck 81-79



Despite having two of their top players foul out during regulation, the Blackduck Drakes were able to advance in the East Sub-Section 8A Tournament with a thrilling overtime win over the Red Lake Warriors.

Dylan Moen scored 20 points and Ethan Merrill added 19 for Blackduck as the Drakes improve to 19-8.

Delwyn Holthusen had a huge game for the Warriors as he scored 30 points and pulled down 26 rebounds as the Warriors end their season at 15-12.

Blackduck will play Cass Lake-Bena for the East Sub-Section title at 7:45 pm on Monday, March 9th (96.7 FM & 106.5 FM).

Jarrell Jacobs scored 36 points as Cass Lake-Bena advanced to Monday's East Sub-Section championship game against Blackduck.

Timmy Smith hit four three pointers for the Panthers as they improve to 21-7 on the season.

Bryer Strom led Win-E-Mac with 30 points as the Patriots end their season at 11-17.
