Primary Function:

Provides training and instruction of youth and adults participating in the Red Lake Boxing Club. Part time position, reports to Red Lake Athletic Commission, salary; DOQ.

Essential Responsibilities & Duties:

• Assist in the training and instruction of participants in basic boxing techniques to provide a quality competitive environment to train and motivate young athletes and adults in the sport of boxing.

• Instructs boxing team participants in safe boxing techniques and physical training regimens.

• Coordinate boxing team practices and physical workouts.

• Take registration and record daily attendance.

• Set up and take down equipment and prepare venue for activities and events, instructs and coaches participants.

• Maintains equipment and facilities in a clean and safe condition.

• Explains techniques and assists with skills improvement.

• Monitors guests and program participants and enforces rules, regulations, and safety precautions at boxing facilities.

• Maintain discipline, monitor behavior and resolves issues, monitor program activities, and assists participants in boxing activities and programs.

• Promote a positive recreation environment and good personal behavior.

• Explain to general public, community resources agencies, and other organizations about program.

• Prevent accidents through the enforcement of policies, rules, regulations, and ordinances governing the conduct of boxing patrons; monitors activities in the facilities for individuals who may need assistance or guidance.

• Promote a positive recreation environment and good personal behavior.

• Act quickly and calmly in emergency situations.

• Provide effective customer service, and dealing tactfully and courteously with the public.

• Work is performed indoors and requires ability to perform physical work, and lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

• Will be required to work evenings and weekend shifts.

• Must maintain a level of physical fitness.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education/Work Experience/Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED Certificate.

• Must have a valid Minnesota's Driver's License.

• Excellent motor vehicle driving record, with no accidents or moving violations.

• Employment is contingent upon passing a pre-employment drug test and comprehensive background check.
