Lady Warriors move to 7-8 on season with 90-44 win over Northwoods - P14

Girls Junior Varsity also victorious 51-28 in earlier game

RED LAKE, MN - The Lady Warriors, coming off their 86-50 victory over Northome-Kelliher last Thursday, hosted the Northwoods Grizzlies on Thursday, January 23, 2020.

It was close in the early minutes of play, until Red Lake used their full-court press and ran and ran, building up a 20-point lead at the end of the first half. Red Lake's Autumn Holthusen put in 20-points on her own in that half.

The Lady Warriors didn't let up, and the defense held the Grizzlies to just 14 points in the second half, as Red Lake cruised to the 90-44 win.

Autumn Holthusen led all scorers with 28 points on the night, LaTayla Pemberton added 17 and Kelanna McClain and Gerika Kingbird each hit 16.

Hanna Kinsey had 10 points for Northwoods.

Red Lake moves up to 7-8 on the season, while Northwoods drops to 6-11.

The Lady Warriors will host Blackduck on Friday, January 24th, Clearbrook on January 28th and Winnie-Mac on February 3rd.

In the earlier game, Red Lake's Junior Varsity won 51-28.
