Lady Warriors "run and gun" their way to 8-8 on season with 91-58 win over Blackduck - P13

Junior Varsity Girls also in 50-43 in earlier game

RED LAKE, MN - The Red Lake Lady Warriors have now won their fourth straight game with their 91-58 win over Blackduck on Friday, January 25, 2020. And they did it by constantly running and forcing turnovers by pressing the Drakes most of the game, as well as making their shots count.

At the end of the first half Red Lake led Blackduck 48-36, then put in 43 more in the second half to secure the win, while the Drakes scored just 22.

Gerika Kingbird led all scorers with 29 points on the night, trailed by Kelanna McClain's 25 points, along with getting her 1000th career rebound, and Autumn Holthusen added 17 points on the night.

Zory Mils led the Drakes with 17 of her own, Jada Laudis added 13 and Alexa Sparby had 10.

Red Lake was 22-32 from the free-throw line, while Blackduck was 17-19.

The Lady Warriors are now 8-8 on the season, while Blackduck dropped to 12-6.

Red Lake will host Clearbrook-Gonvick on January 28th, host Winnie-Mac on February 3rd and host Lake of the Woods on February 6th.
