Faith Joyce Vega-Armenta

April 14, 1946 – February 5, 2020

Faith Joyce Vega-Armenta, age 73, of Minneapolis Journeyed to the Spirit World on February 5, 2020 at Hennepin County Medical Center.

She was born on April 14, 1946 in Fort Thompson the daughter of Abel Bad Moccasin and Edith Philbrick.

Faith was a Dakota Language and Cultural Teacher at Heart of the Earth School for over 19 years.

She loved her children, grandchildren and her family! Faith loved to sing karaoke.

Survived a son: Dean Bad Moccasin; siblings: Virginia Bad Moccasin, Einar Bad Moccasin and Bernard Bad Moccasin Sr.; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews; other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by children Lolita Joy Drapeau, Bryce Drapeau, Dwight Drapeau, Leah Comes Flying, Vanessa Rodriguez-Comes-Flying and Twyla Comes Flying.

All night wakes will be held on Sunday, February 9th and Monday, February 10th beginning at 7:00 P.M. at The Community Center in Fort Thompson, South Dakota.

Funeral services for Faith J. Vega-Armenta will be held on Tuesday, February 11th, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. at The Community Center in Fort Thompson, South Dakota.

Janice Bad Moccasin and Pastor Rod Vaughn will officiate.

Music and Drum Group will be provided by the family.

Honorary Casket Bearers will be Mary Jo Abrahamson, Avis Dion, Brenda Morin, Audrey Jones, Kay Taylor, Danielle Ruiz, Phyllis Comes Flying, Hattie Comes Flying, Dora Black Cloud, Cheryl Ellis and Caroline Middle Tent.

Casket Bearers Dion White, Evan Fasthorse, Derrick Drapeau, Elliot Drapeau, Dean Bad Moccasin, Marcus Bad Moccasin and Delbert Comes Flying.
