Two arrested after residence, vehicles shot up in Mahnomen County

MAHNOMEN, Minn. – Two people were arrested early Tuesday morning, Feb. 4, after a residence and vehicles were hit by gunfire in the Riverland housing area in Mahnomen County.

No one was injured and the suspects were arrested a short time later after a brief vehicle pursuit, according to a post on the Mahnomen County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page.

REPORTS OF SHOTS FIRED IN MAHNOMEN

February 4th, 12:27 AM: Law enforcement in Mahnomen County responded to the Riverland housing area for a report of shots fired. A residence and vehicles were struck; there were no injuries reported. A short time later the suspect vehicle was located and a short pursuit ensued. Two individuals were taken into custody. The investigation is ongoing; the identity of the suspects will be released at a later date. Law enforcement believes that this was an isolated incident and that there is currently no threat to the public.

Deputies and Investigators from the Mahnomen County Sheriff’s Office and Officers from the White Earth Police Department responded.
