Headwaters CoffeeHouse welcomes Caleigh as February's featured performers

Headwaters CoffeeHouse welcomes Caleigh as February's featured performers. The open-mic event kicks off at 7pm on Friday, February 7 at Headwaters School of Art and Music in Bemidji. Sign-up begins at 6:30 or by email to jjhgaard@gmail.com.

Caleigh (Kay-lee')-a trio of Lenore Siems, Dee Furfaro and April Larson- shares a mix of world folk, celtic, bluegrass and American old-time music, original and otherwise. They have been performing for 25 years.

Held on the first Friday of most months, the CoffeeHouse offers a welcoming and supportive open-mic opportunity for musicians and spoken-word performers. All ages and skill levels are encouraged to sign up for a 10 to 15 minute set.

Caleigh brings a variety of sound to the stage. In addition to vocals, they share fiddle, harp, bodhran, banjo, accordion and many other instruments. A sizeable group of devoted followers testify to Caleigh's appeal.

Admission is $3 per person or $7 for families. Coffeehouse fare is available for purchase.

Headwaters CoffeeHouse is a volunteer-led community event. Contact John Henningsgaard at 444-9845 for more information.
