Pathways to a Healthier Community

Our goal is to provide eligible SNAP recipients access to education on healthy lifestyle changes.

We will be offering classes at Oshkiimaajitahdah and the Community Centers in each District. Each course has a max class limit of 16 and participants will receive a certificate and an item related to the class upon completion.

At Oshkiimaajitahdah: "Eat Together, Eat Better" Tuesdays 1:00 pm-2:00 pm 02/04/20- 03/10/20 (6 sessions) This class will offer tips and hands on learning on how to include family members in preparing, having good conversations and adding excitement to meal time.

"Honoring the Gift of Heart Health" Thursdays 1:00 pm-2:00 pm 02/06/20-04/23/20 (10 sessions) Cardiovascular Disease (CVD) is the #1 killer of all Americans including American Indians and Alaska Natives. This class will provide tips and hands on learning to promote heart health.

Community Centers in each District: "Eat Together, Eat Better" Monday's 6:00 pm-7:00 pm
