Ariana Jaynelle Butcher, 27 years young, of Red Lake, Minnesota journeyed to the spirit world on Thursday, January 16th, 2020 from the Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND. She was born on May 7, 1992 to Jane Blue and Jeremy Butcher in Bemidji, MN. She was an enrolled member of the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe.

Ariana attended school in Bi-Cap Head Start and grade school at the Chief Bug-o-nay-geshig School. She lived in Oklahoma from 1998-1999 and attended school at RLES, this is where she met her longtime friends; Leighshell and Ashley Lussier and Shanise Rosebear. Ariana was raised by her mother and her stepfather George Benais. She loved traveling to South Dakota to see the amazing sites. At the age of 16, she slowly dropped out of school to help raise her nephew/son Jaidun Wind. She was the mother of three beautiful babies. Her son, Kayden Jacob, was the love of her life, as were her two daughters, Shiloh and Ayla. Ariana made a living as a daycare provider. She loved taking the kids swimming, going on outings and having fun doing activities with them. She liked listening to music, visiting with her friends and going to the casino with her mom on free play night. Ariana had a big heart and liked being silly with her friends. She loved visiting with her aunties Bonnie and Irene and her uncles Bill, John and Vern. She will be missed by everyone who loved her.

She is reunited with her brother, Trevor Butcher; grandmas, Carol Butcher and Marian McGraw and uncle, Raymond White.

Those she leaves behind are her mother and special dad (who raised her from the age of 7), Jane and George Benais; father, Jeremy Butcher; children, Kayden Jacob Stately, Shiloh Rayne and Ayla Rose King; the love of her life, Jason King; brothers, Tobias, Wilburt and Frank Wind; step sisters, Lauren Benais and Sherrill Stillday; step sons, Avery and Jeren King; special nephew (whom she raised), Jaidun Wind; aunties, Bonnie and Irene McGraw, Shereese Day and Ruby Ann Wind; uncles, John (Muriel), Vernon and Bill (Sharon) McGraw, special aunties, Karen Needham and Valerie Red Cloud and special grammas, Luanne Wind and Wendy Johnson; nephews, Frank Wind, Jr., Thayne and Sylus Wind; nieces, Angele, Way Lynn, Ally Rae, Cindy, Alizabeth, Teese, Kami, Shania and Tatelynn Wind; cousins, Kristie Lynn Desjarlait, Chele White, Frank Blue, Jarod White, Inez and Cory Desjarlait; special friends, Leighshell Layton, Ashley Lussier, Shanise Rosebear, Justice (Sierrajen) Desjarlait and Pete White; special sister, Ashley Morrison; foster nieces and nephews, Daliliah, Paco, David, Dalilah, Steven, James, Stephanie and Robbie; and her special daycare baby, Sebastian and all the rest of her daycare babies.

A wake for Ariana will begin at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 21st and continue until her 11:00 a.m. funeral service on Thursday, January 23rd, 2020 all being held at the Red Lake Community Center in Red Lake, MN. Father Jerry Rogers will officiate. Pallbearers will be Pete White, Frank Blue, Brian White, Justin Desjarlait, Kevin Rosebear, James King, Tom McGraw, Damian McGraw and John McGraw. Honorary pallbearers are Tawn White, Ashley Lussier, Leighshell Layton, Darilyn Perkins, Billie Jean King, Shanise Rosebear, Jolene French, Jenet Rosebear, Jan Lussier, LD Harris, Frank Wind, Wilburt Wind, Tobias Wind, Brenden Desjarlait, Vern McGraw, Bill McGraw and John McGraw. A private family inurnment will be held at a later date.
