Margaret “Maggie” Rose Erickson, age 28, of Minneapolis began her Journey to the Spirit World on Friday, January 3rd, 2020 at Hennepin County Medical Center.

She was born on March 3, 1991 in Minneapolis the daughter of Mark and Eliza (Thompson) Erickson.

Margaret loved her children! She also enjoyed visiting with her family.

She attended pow wows and was a Jingle dress dancer.

Survived by her husband: Jose Miranda; three children: Iana Lynn Sayers, Maricela Vianey Miranda Sayers and Alejandro Miranda Sayers; her father: Mark (Michelle) Erickson; siblings: Aletha Thompson, Lawrence Oakgrove, Angela Thompson, Mark Thompson, Daniel Thompson, David Thompson and Justin Thompson; other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by her mother, two brothers Anthony Thompson and Roger D. Thompson and by a sister Trudy.

Funeral services for Margaret Rose Erickson will be held on Tuesday, January 7th, 2020 at 10:00 A.M. at The Minnesota Chippewa Tribe Building, 1308 East Franklin Avenue, in Minneapolis. Zac Early will officiate.

Drum Group will be “Southside Ramblers”.

Casket Bearers will be Timothy Oakgrove, Charles Oakgrove, Eugene Goggleye, Irving Goggleye, Roger Googleye and Travis Goodstar.

An all night wake will be held on Monday, January 6th, beginning at 6:30 P.M. at The Minnesota Chippewa Tribe Building.
