Native Edge Institute Will Be in the Mile High City

January 30th event will feature experts in business, government contracting, and more

DENVER, CO – The National Center for American Indian Enterprise Development (The National Center) and the Small Business Administration (SBA) are hosting the first Native Edge Institute (NEI) of the new decade in Denver, Colorado on January 30. With a schedule packed with expert speakers and training events designed for establishing and aspiring business owners, NEI Colorado will have a strong focus on government and small business contracting and procurement. The event will take place at the downtown Denver headquarters of the Native American Bank, which is also partnering with the National Center for NEI Colorado.

“The National Center is thrilled to bring the Native Edge Institutes to Denver,” said National Center President and CEO Chris James. “Working with fantastic partners like the Small Business Administration and Native American Bank, NEI Colorado will provide attendees with access to experts and top-level programming focused on procurement, government contracting, and small business basics. We hope you’ll join us for our first NEI of the new decade.”

NEIs are one-day, in-person training events that provide both established and aspiring businessowners critical business training. NEIs also connect participants to existing resources available in their region, to go along with one-on-one business counseling/coaching and matchmaking services. Access to the National Center’s unique N2N (Native to Native) business network will be made available to all attendees, as well as the National Center’s in-region procurement and technical assistance training. Federal program and procurement coaching, accessing capital via Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs), and navigating the SBA and Bureau of Indian affairs will also be featured prominently at the events.
