Lady Warriors win in Lake of the Woods 103-54; Red Lake Warriors slip in 69-59 loss to Fertile-Beltrami

The Red Lake Lady Warriors won both their games on the road at Lake of the Woods on Thursday, December 19, 2019.

In the first game the JV won 69-39, while the Varsity leading 66-26 at the half, went on to win 103-54.

The Lady Warriors are now 3-5 on the season and will travel to Moorhead to play in a tournament on December 27th. They will return to regular season action on January 4, 2020 hosting Mountain-Iron-Buel, travel to Mahnomen on january 13 and host Kelliher-Northome on January 16th.

Lake of the Woods drops to 3-5 on the season.

The Red Lake Warriors were at NCTC and played Fertile-Beltrami in the semi-finals.

Red Lake led 32-21 at the half, but couldn't hold on near the end of the second half, as they lost their first game of the season 69-59.

Delwyn Holthusen led all scorers with 18 points, James Beaulieu had 11 and Trenton Holthusen hit for 10.

Everette Balstad led Fertile-Beltrami with 17 points, Cort Christianson hit for 14 and Addy McCollum added 10.

Red Lake is now 4-1 on the season, while Fertile-Beltrami remains unbeaten at 7-0.

Fertile-Beltrami advances to the Championship game on Friday against the Cass Lake Panthers who defeated Red Lake County 82-71 in overtime.

The Warriors will play in a tournament in Moorhead on December 27 and 28 before resuming regular season action on January 3, 2020 hosting WHA.
