Pamela "Pammy Duck" Jean Pierce, "Makoonce Ikwe" which means "Bear Woman", age 65, of Two Harbors, Minnesota began her spiritual journey on Tuesday, December 17th, 2019 from St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth, MN. She born on December 18th, 1953 in Red Lake, MN to Nellie Dick and Mark Kingbird.

Pammy was always fun to be around. She loved to laugh and joke around. Pammy was a loving, caring and kindhearted mother, grandmother and friend. She was the kind of person who tried to help everyone she could. She loved spending time with her family and friends as often as she could. Pammy enjoyed going to powwows, the casino and was always there for her grandkids. Her memory will live forever in our hearts.

Family that Pamela is reunited with are her parents, Nellie Dick, Mark Kingbird and Joseph Dick; her first husband, Perry Sam White, Sr .; sons, Preston and Marcus White; brother, George Dick; sister, Eldora Estrada and many more family members.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 18 years, Mark Pierce of Two Harbors; children, Perry (Dawn) White, Jr. of Red Lake, Naomi Dunn and Lindsey White both of Duluth; special granddaughter that she raised, Justice White; 13 other grandchildren; five great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and several friends.

Wake services for Pammy will begin at 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 20th and continue until her 10:00 a.m. traditional service on Sunday, December 22nd all to be held at the Boys and Girls Club in Ponemah, MN. Waa-maajaa'iwed is Steve Jackson. Helping to lay Pammy to rest are Devin Anderson, Orville White, Sr., Nicolas Spears, Ld Harris, Victor White and Doug Jourdain. Her honorary pallbearers are Kwanita White, Kyle White, Nikki Reynold, Dawn White, Barb Thomas, Virginia Spears, Brenda White, Vicky Spears, Frances Miller, Naomi Dunn, Murphy Thomas, Sr., Wayne Johnson, Sr., David Manuel, Cisco Estrada, Lisa Estrada, Daniel Terry, Tina Terry, Nora Sayers, Phyllis Sayers, Joyce Sayers, Suzie Sayers, Daniel Sayers, Ted Sayers, Phillip Sayers, Tony Sayers, Martha Kingbird, Jolene Kingbird, Michelle Dick, Candace Pierre, Donna Pierre, Patrick Pierre and Jo Dick. Interment will be in the Family Burial Grounds at Ponemah, MN following her Sunday services.
