...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM CST MONDAY...

* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 6 inches. Isolated higher amounts possible.

* WHERE...Portions of central, north central, northwest and west central Minnesota and southeast North Dakota.

* WHEN...From 9 PM this evening to 9 AM CST Monday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning commute. The cold wind chills as low as 20 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.

This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of eastern central North Dakota and northwest Minnesota.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight

Snow will begin to move into east central North Dakota late this afternoon and spread south and eastward overnight. Snow amounts

will be mainly in the 3 to 6 inch range, although there could be a narrow band of greater than 6 inches in some isolated areas.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday

Very cold temperatures into the teens and twenties below zero and frigid wind chills into the twenties to thirties below zero are likely Tuesday through Thursday morning. Temperatures may not reach above zero Tuesday and Wednesday.

Snow. The snow could be heavy at times. Low around 2. North northeast wind 8 to 11 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. Total nighttime snow accumulation of 4 to 8 inches possible.

Monday

A chance of snow before 11am, then a chance of flurries between 11am and noon. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a temperature rising to near 5 by 11am, then falling to around 0 during the remainder of the day. North wind 6 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 18 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
