Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe elects new chief, leaders

MOUNT PLEASANT, MI — The newly-elected Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribal Council has chosen a new tribal chief and other leaders.

Timothy Davis was elected as chief, receiving seven of 12 votes cast between three candidates. His term will last through 2021, according to a news release.
