PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Under the direction of the MIS/IT Director, the Document Analyst will evaluate the quality and consistency of data within the Tribal archiving system. The Document Analyst will compare original and digitize documents for accuracy, and will make corrections as needed. Additionally, the Document Analyst will assist in policy making for document archiving and destruction. Reports to MIS/IT Director, full time position w/benefits, salary: DOQ

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Evaluation the quality of data within the Tribal Archiving System

• Compare original with digitized copy to determine accuracy

• Correct documents within the database

• Make recommendations for rescans

• Organize and electronically file documents within the system

• Confer with departmental directors and officers to design and implement goals through documents

• Edit and proofread documents for grammar, correct spelling and clarity

• Maintain proper records

• Coordinate disclosure of information with outside agencies and ensure that responses are legally sufficient and timely

• Perform evaluations and document audits

• Ensure that all documents have no errors in filenames or submissions

EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE/ QUALIFICATIONS

• Must have high school diploma or GED

• Must have demonstrated strong analytical skills, reading comprehension, attention to detail, and organizational abilities

• Able to research information and ask questions to make informed decisions

• Proper understanding of document markings and ultimately proper handling

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and relevant software

• Excellent organizational/communication skills, both written and oral

• Must have a valid Minnesota Driver's License and auto insurance

• Employment contingent upon successfully passing Pre-Employment Drug/Alcohol Test and Background Check
