Leah Marie Thompson, age 30, of Minneapolis Journeyed to the Spirit World on Monday, December 2nd, 2019 at Hennepin County Medical Center.

She was born on January 9, 1989 in Minneapolis the daughter of William Jones Sr. and Tina Thompson.

Leah was a loving & caring person, she had a true heart of gold. Her vibe and strength was like no other. Her presence was enough to light up any room. Leah enjoyed fixing herself up, she played a BIG part in her nieces and nephew’s lives. She really enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Survived by siblings: Laura Thompson, Danielle Bellanger, Dominic Thompson, William Jones Jr and Selena Jones; nieces and nephews: Nevaeh, Ryan, Jordan, Allen, Azoya, Kaiya, Dominic Jr., Daniel and Raniyah; significant other: Joshua Ellis Jackson; a host of other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by her mother: Tina Thompson, father Daniel Bellanger, grandmother Debra Thompson and by an uncle Gustav Christianson.

All night wakes will be held on Thursday, December 5th and Friday, December 6th beginning at 7:00 P.M. at Little Earth United Tribes, 2501 Cedar Avenue S., in Minneapolis.

A final viewing will be held on Saturday morning, December 7th beginning at 9:00 A.M.

Honorary Casket Bearers will be Marie Cardenas, Jasmine Jackson Teariana Jackson, Sharon Jackson, Brooklyn Denny, Julia Johnson and Nevaeh Bruguier.

Casket Bearers will be Gomer Thompson, Dallas Thompson, Christopher Denny, Adrian Florez, Tristan Blacksmith, Corey Jackson, Sean Denny, Joseph Johnson and Clarence Sagataw.
