Prison for Blackfoot Man After Trying to Kill Woman with Rifle

POCATELLO, Idaho (KLIX)-A Blackfoot man will spend more than a decade behind bars after trying to kill another person with a rifle in 2018 on the Fort Hall Indian Reservation.

According to the office of U.S. Attorney Bart Davis, Andrew Galloway, 30, was sentenced to nearly 15 years on charges of assault with intent to commit murder and using a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence. Chief U.S. District Judge David Nye sentenced Galloway to 10 years on the firearm charge and just under five years for the assault charge; Galloway pleaded guilty to the charges in July, 2019.
