METRO SITES

Historic Fort Snelling
While construction gets underway in 2020 on the new visitor center, the historic site will stay open to the public as usual during its May-October season, including annual Memorial Day weekend and Independence Day programming.

Charles Lindbergh House and Museum
On July 4 & 5, 2020, enjoy a new special theme weekend exploring Lindbergh’s daring attempt to complete the first nonstop transatlantic flight from New York to Paris in 1927.
Forest History Center
Learn about how maple syrup is made, including visiting a local sugar bush and commercial syrup production facility on Maple Syrup Family Day.
Jeffers Petroglyphs
In 2020, the historic site extends its evening hours, allowing visitors to see the petroglyphs at one of their most visible times. In June through August, the site will stay open 10 a.m.-8 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
Mille Lacs Indian Museum and Trading Post
Learn traditional Ojibwe art techniques like beading in ongoing workshops.
Snake River Fur Post
