Joyce Johannessohn, 68, of Bagley, Minnesota died on Thursday, November21, 2019 at her home in Bagley, Minnesota.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 25, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Chapel 10 miles South of Bagley, Minnesota, with Pastor Chris Conger Officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 24, 2019 at the Cease Family Funeral Home in Bagley, MN from 1:00-3:00 PM. Interment will be held at the Pine Bend Cemetery in Pine Bend, MN.

The Cease Family Funeral Home of Bagley assisted the family with arrangements.

Joyce was born in White Earth, Minnesota on September 24, 1951 the daughter of Stanley and Hazel (Hill) Goodwin. She grew up in Ebro, MN and attended schools in Ebro and Bagley, graduating from Bagley High School in 1969. Joyce attended cosmetology school in the twin cities, and later moved to Thief River Falls, MN. Joyce married Gary Johannessohn on January 24, 1970, they lived North of Rice Lake, MN and had 3-children Trina, Julie, and Mitchell. Joyce and Gary later divorced. Joyce moved to Bagley in 2016. She worked as a teacher at the Bagley Day Activity Center for over 20 years. She loved the holidays and looked forward to spending time with family. Her grandchildren were the most important in her life. She enjoyed reading, cooking and baking and had a very special bond with all her nieces and nephews. Joyce could always be seen playing BINGO with her family by her side and was a member of the Players Club. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and will be deeply missed by all.

Grandchildren- Kailee Stenseng, Kari Stenseng, Emma Johannessohn, Ethen Johannessohn, Mason Johannessohn, and Daylan Keezer

Brother- Randy (Carrie) Goodwin of Tenstrike, MN

Brother- Robet Goodwin of Minneapolis, MN

Brother-in-law- Dale Danks of Fosston, MN

She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley & Hazel Goodwin; Sister-Shelby Danks; Brother-Stanley Lewis; Nephews-Scott Fultz, Brodie Camp, Jeffery LaFriniere, and Mark Fultz, and Niece Angel LaFriniere
