Third Crow Creek official admits embezzling thousands

PIERRE — A third person pleaded guilty Tuesday to embezzling money from the Crow Creek Sioux Tribe's general welfare account.

Jacqueline Pease, who worked as the tribe's accounts payable clerk for four years, admitted to embezzling between $40,000 and $95,000 and is scheduled to be sentenced on Feb. 10.
