Eldora Ann Dauphinais, 62 of Fort Totten, ND passed away on Monday, November 4, 2019 at her home with loving family at her side.

A Wake will be held on Friday, November 8, 2019 at the Tekawitha Center in St. Michael, ND beginning at 5:30 p.m. with a Rosary and Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. The procession to St. Michael will leave at 4:30 p.m. on Friday from City Plaza.

Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church with Father Paul Schuster celebrating the Mass. Eldora will be laid to rest in St. Michael Cemetery.

Eldora Ann was born on July 4, 1957 in Devils Lake, ND the daughter of Moses and Clara (Belgarde) Feather. She graduated from Flandreau High School in South Dakota and continued her education at NDSU in Fargo. Eldora worked a variety of jobs including working as a Teacher's Aide at Four Winds School, as a cashier at St. Michael's Casino and in Customer Service at Spirit Lake Casino and Resort. For 15 plus years, Eldora was a foster parent for the Spirit Lake Tribe.

Eldora was united in marriage to John "Jack" Dauphinais on January 23, 2009. Together they made their home in Fort Totten until Jack passed away on January 18, 2013.

Eldora loved spending time with her best friends, her dogs. She enjoyed decorating and redecorating her home. Eldora had a great capacity to love and opened her home and her heart to many foster children, loving and caring for them. Her family meant the world to her and she shared many great times and memories with them over the years.

Eldora is survived by her loving family. Her special niece Clarice Fox; brother Greg Feather; sisters Lavern Bear and Violet Smith; sons Preston Cavanaugh and Lydell Jones; adopted sister Lolita Gourd; grandchildren Cadence Cavanaugh and Olionna Dauphinais; step children Bradley, Nicole and Oliver Dauphinais and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was welcomed home to Heaven by her Lord and her parents, sisters Bernadette McDonald, Cindy Cavanaugh, Twyla Feather and Cecelia Jones, brothers Bruce Feather, Raymond Feather, Ivan Blackcloud, Raphael Feather and Stacy Feather.

Pallbearers for Eldora will be Curtis Feather, Perry Fassett, Oscar Feather, Lydell Jones, Lowell LittleEagle and Alvin Bear.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Lolita Gourd, Mary Lou Fallis, Clarice Lawrence, Renae and Bimbo Lenoir, Sonta Dauphinais, Mina HowlingWolf, the Anderson Family, Lavern and Alvin Bear, Bob Greywater, Kenneth Greywater, Olionna Dauphinais, Roger Feather, Glen Abraham, Janelle Fassett, Renita and Dallas Delorme, Deb and Tony LaVallie, Loren Fox, Raymond WindyBoy, Kelly Stone, Maggie Jones, Crystal Blueshield, Cheryl IronHawk, Derek "Shmoo" IronHawk and Esther IronHawk. Eldora loved you all. All Drum Groups and Singers are welcome to share their songs in memory of Eldora.
