St. Paul police were on the scene of a shooting on Annapolis Street East on the evening of Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2019.

Apparent gunplay by juveniles led to the death of a teenage boy late Wednesday afternoon on St. Paul's West Side, the latest bloodshed in a spate of violence that has gripped the city over the past few months.

At about the same time, in an unrelated incident, a suspect was shot and wounded by a U.S. marshal who came across gunfire being exchanged at a Holiday gas station east of downtown. No officers were hurt in that encounter, which is under investigation by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA).
