Montana drug couriers busted in Minnesota go free

A couple of Montana men who were nabbed while driving through Douglas County last March with more than $4 million in marijuana and other contraband will get off with little more than a warning after a judge ruled Tuesday that the seizure was illegal.

Aaron Myren, a Minnesota state trooper with a track record of making large drug busts, said a cracked windshield and unsteady driving led him to stop Jared Michael Desroches, 31, of Missoula, and Alexander Clifford Gordon, 24, of Helena, as they traveled southbound on Interstate 94 near Alexandria, Minn.
