Maxine Joan Howard, 58, of Bemidji, MN died Sunday, September 22, 2019 at the Sanford Fargo Medical Center in Fargo, ND.

Memorial services will be held 1:00pm, Friday, September 27, 2019 at the Veteran's Memorial Building in Cass Lake, MN. A wake will be held from 6-12:00am midnight, Thursday, September 26, 2019, at the Veteran's Memorial Building, and from 9:00am until the time of the service on Friday. Arrangements are with the Cease Family Funeral Home in Bemidji.

She was born on June 2, 1961, in Chicago, Illinois the daughter of Denver Fults and Elizabeth (Butterfly) Brunette. At the age of 5 she moved with her family to Minnesota. She attended school in both Cass Lake and Park Rapids. She started a family and was a full time Mom to her boys. She enjoyed trips to the Casino, where she would play Bingo and slots. She loved spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

Sister, Phyllis Butterfly,

Numerous Grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her: parents, son Ernest Howard IV, and many brothers and sisters.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Shirley Preston, Genny Lowry, Ruby Lowry, Sharon DeClusin, and Vincent Lowry.
