Andrew Edwin Matsen, 21 years young, of Bemidji, Minnesota left this earth too soon. He passed unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 10th, 2019 in Cass Lake, MN.

Andrew was born in Bemidji, MN to Jeremy Matsen and Erica (Jingco) Neadeau on December 11th, 1997. Andrew was a very active child. He grew up playing all kinds of sports; football in the fall, hockey during the winter and playing baseball team in the spring. Andrew was very focused on his sport at the time, making him very dedicated to his teams. He really enjoyed snowboarding in Colorado with his dad, skateboarding and hiking. Andrew graduated from high school in 2016. He was a gentle soul, who loved all animals and his family very much. His unexpected departure from our lives has left us deeply saddened.

Family he leaves behind to forever cherish his memory are his parents, Erica (Ogema) Neadeau of Bemidji and Jeremy Matsen of Denver, CO; his siblings, Isabelle, Audrey and Peyton Neadeau; grandparents, Randy and William Matsen, Kimberly and Scott Muller and Rochelle and Mitchell Johnson, great grandparents, Elma Schwartz, Robert and Vivian Foy and Harlen and Muriel Muller; aunties, Miranda Johnson, Kelli Eason, LeeAnn Muller and Petra Neadeau; uncles, Brent Matsen, Manuel Jingco, Chris and Kevin Muller and Justin Johnson, numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Andrew will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 24th, 2019 at Hope Lutheran Church in Walker, MN. A one-hour visitation will be held prior to funeral services, at the church, beginning at 12:00 p.m. Pastor Matthew McWaters will officiate. Pallbearers for Andrew are Brent Matsen, Peyton Neadeau, Manny Jingco, Bryce Jingco. Manuel Jingco and Justin Johnson, Jr. Inurnment will be in Greenwood Cemetery at Bemidji, MN immediately following his services in Walker.
