Bonita Gayle Hill, 61, of the Ogashkimanisii (Kingfisher) Clan and Red Lake, Minnesota began her journey to the spirit world on Tuesday, September 17th, 2019 from the Emerald Terrace Nursing Home in Grand Rapids, MN.

Bonita was born in St. Louis, MO on January 12th, 1958 to Frank and Alice (Ellis) Hill. She had the most beautiful smile and the amazing ability of making people laugh. Bonita graduated from high school in 1976 and went on to train as an electrician. She was a very hard worker and a skilled electrician, working for the Red Lake Band. Bonita loved playing all kind of board games, teaching everyone who wanted to learn. More than anything, she loved being around her family; who will miss her greatly.

She is welcomed to the spirit world by her daughters, Bonita L. and Stacey Hill; parents, Frank and Alice Hill; sisters, Linda Hill-Mattson and Barbara Hill; brothers, Faron and Daryl Hill and grandparents, Rose and John Hill and Charles and Julia Ellis.

Family she leaves behind are her son, Vincent Hill of Roseau; brothers, Jeremy (LuAnn) Hill of Red Lake and Greg Hill of St. Paul; aunties, Gladys Saragosa, Rosalie and Delores Hill; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and her friends.

Wake services for Bonita will begin at 7:00 p.m., Saturday, September 21st and continue until her 10:00 a.m. traditional services on Monday, September 23rd all to be held at the Red Lake Community Center in Red Lake, MN. Zac Earley will be her Spiritual Advisor. Pallbearers for Bonita will be Michael Hill, Sam Richards, Reed Richards, Paul Hill, Sheldon Hill and Merwin Hill. Her honorary pallbearers are all her family and friends. Interment will be in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery at Red Lake, MN following her Monday services.
