Rhonda Ann Porter was born November 25, 1964, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Leonard and Lynette (Burnette) Porter. At a young age, Rhonda lived with her aunt and uncle, Pat and Adeline Porter near Bemidji, MN. Following her graduation from Coon Rapids High School, Rhonda made her home in the Coon Rapids area where she worked various jobs. She met the love of her life, Tim Phillips and they were united in marriage on August 25, 1984. The couple made their home in the suburbs of the Minneapolis, MN, area and were blessed with two children, Derek and Jacqueline. Rhonda loved all animals and spending time with family, which included her pets. She enjoyed taking her dog on walks. Other hobbies included shopping for hours at a time, traveling to new and different places and simply wandering around taking in the beauty of nature and the things around her. Rhonda also enjoyed writing and had aspirations of writing a children’s book. She would often leave little notes, thoughts and terms of endearments on post it notes or cards for her family, which now have become treasured memories. Although gone from this life to soon, Rhonda will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
