One Killed & Another Injured in Single Vehicle Rollover East of Twin Valley

September 5, 2019

Faith, MN -- One person was injured, and another killed following a one vehicle rollover on Tuesday night near the Norman-Mahnomen County line.

According to a press release from the Norman County Sheriff’s Office, the incident happened at approximately 9:19pm on County Highway 29 near Faith, which is about 9 miles east of Twin Valley. A 2003 Chevy Impala was traveling east bound on Highway 29 when it entered the S curves in the road and lost control. The vehicle then entered the ditch, hit an approach, and rolled multiple times.

The two occupants of the vehicle were both ejected. 24-year-old Kenneth Peake-Rogers Jr of White Earth, MN was transported to the Mahnomen hospital with unknown injuries. 23-year-old Tyler Bloom of Ponsford, MN was pronounced dead at the scene. He was transported to the UND Forensic Pathology Department in Grand Forks, ND for an autopsy with results pending.

The Norman County Sheriff’s Office believes that alcohol may have been a factor in the accident, which is still under investigation.

The Norman County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Twin Valley Police Department, Twin Valley Fire and Rescue, Ada Police, Minnesota State Highway Patrol, Mahnomen County Sheriff’s Office, Mahnomen County Ambulance, and the White Earth Police Department.
