James Tuttle III, age 58, of Cass Lake, Minnesota, passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2019 in Rochester, Minnesota.

James was born on May 11, 1961 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to James and Karen (Jones) Tuttle Jr. He loved nature and enjoyed ricing, picking boughs and walking in the woods. He loved spending time with his girls, grandchildren and family. He was easygoing, quick to laugh and made friends wherever he went.

He will be lovingly remembered by his two daughters: Penny Firesteel and Jamie Tuttle; three grandchildren: Vada Firesteel, Tristin Firesteel and Kaden Firesteel; his auntie, Jeanie Goodwin; two sisters Sue Cloud and Mindy White; six nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and great-nephews, as well as numerous other relatives, special friend Pamela Smith-Jones and many other special friends.

James was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Bill; his sister, baby girl Tuttle; his Aunt Mugsy, Uncle Chucky and Grandmother Frances; as well as many other uncles, aunties and other relatives.

A wake will begin on Tuesday, August 6, 2019, at 3:00 PM and will continue until the service on Wednesday, August 7, at 11:00 AM at the Veterans Memorial Building in Cass Lake, Minnesota. Pallbearers are James Elmberg, Jason B. Martin, Anthony Dvorak, Robert Tuttle, Frank Tuttle and Charles LaRose. Alternate Pallbearers are Tristin Firesteel, Kaden Firesteel, Clifford Jones, and David Staples. Honorary Pallbearers are Vada Firesteel, Karen Anoka, Melissa Dvorak, Annie Sue Tuttle, Toni Sue Dvorak, and Macie Goggleye. Burial will take place at the Prince of Peace Cemetery in Cass Lake.
