Waasabiik innini Beaulieu-Sayers

"Waasabiik innini" Beaulieu-Sayers, which means "Light Shining Over the Water" of the Bear Clan and Red Lake, Minnesota was born to Fawn Beaulieu and Craig Sayers in Bemidji, MN on July 24th, 2019 and only graced the world for a few hours before he began his journey to the spirit world from Sanford Hospital in Bemidji, MN on July 25th, 2019.

Waasabiik came into this world for only a short time, but he left an emptiness in all his family. We were all so excited to meet him.

Family that Waasabiik meets in the spirit world are his aunt, Lucia Beaulieu; uncle, Brion Sayers; maternal grandfather, Ronald L. Beaulieu; paternal grandfather, Rodrick Sayer, Sr; maternal great grandparents, Thomas and Fannie Johns; paternal great grandmother, Ethel Sayers; great grandparents; Buddy and Vivian Jones and grandparents, Darla "Sue" Beaulieu and Craig Roy, Sr.

His memory is cherished by his parents, Fawn and Craig; siblings, Tara Cook, Kendrick and Matthew Sayers, Alicia, Luciauna and Calees Beaulieu; grandparents, Lisa R. Beaulieu and Alfreda Sayers; great grandmother, Darlene Beaulieu; many aunties, uncles, cousins and other relatives.

An overnight wake for Baby Waasabiik will begin at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, July 28th and continue until his 10:00 a.m. traditional service on Monday, July 29th to being held at the Red Lake Community Center in Red Lake, MN. Ben Bonga will be his Spiritual Advisor. Pallbearers will be Alton Beaulieu, Sr., Tyrone Beaulieu, Sr., Travis Varney, Rodrick Sayers, Ramon Sayers and William Sayers. His honorary pallbearers are Tyrone Beaulieu, Jr., Randy Sayers, Jr., Animikii Beaulieu, Alton Beaulieu, Jr., Tyrell Beaulieu, Desmond Sayers, Xavier Sayers, Vinnie Sayers, Ashley Cook, Dawn Beaulieu, Chelsea Beaulieu, Rose Head, Will May, Jr., Pam Grassrope, Jeana Grassrope, Kelsey Roy Beaulieu, Jesse Roy, Craig Roy, Mandy Grassrope, Cedric Sayers, Donald Sayers, Jerrick Head, Jerilee Head, Brion Sayers, Marissa Graves, Ari Beaulieu, Hailey Beaulieu, Ryan Beaulieu, Tracen Beaulieu, Billie Jean King, Shantel Brun, Mia Varney, Alisa Beaulieu, Amira Beaulieu and Dominick Johnson. Interment will be in the Family Burial Grounds at Little Rock, MN immediately following his services.
