'No Child Left Inside': Local Youth Programs to Receive Nearly $220,000 in Outdoor Grants

Youths from the Nisqually Indian Tribe and rural Thurston and Pierce counties will be the beneficiaries of nearly $220,000 in recreation and education grants thanks to the statewide No Child Left Inside program.

Awarded by the Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission, the No Child Left Inside grant program, now in its fourth-annual award cycle, offers funding to programs that provide outdoor education and recreation to underserved youths.
