Justin Eugene Stone, of the Bear Clan and whose Indian name is "Migiikiwis" was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on July 18th, 1985 to Roxane Blakley and Eugene Stone Jr. He was born and raised on the South side of Minneapolis where he spent most of his childhood years growing up on 3rd Avenue, where he also met a few lifelong friends. He attended middle school and part of high school at Heart of the Earth Survival School and later on graduated from Four Directions Charter School in 2004. Not too long later, he moved to Fargo, North Dakota with his mother and his three younger siblings. Justin was very family oriented and did anything he could to support them and make sure they had what they needed. If that meant traveling on his bike in the rain, 80+° weather, or below 0°. He was a giving and caring man, he would give someone the shirt he had on his back if needed. He was that ear to listen and shoulder to cry on. Justin had his fun side, always joking and making someone smile and laugh. He loved his music and even more, concerts. Which he attended most of with his uncle, Marvin Blakely. Instead of three, it was the two stooges. Wherever his uncle was, he was right behind him. Justin lived a life full of joy, happiness and laughter. Although, it was cut short when he was diagnosed with end stage liver disease in which he lost his life to on July, 9th 2019 at Fairview Hospital in Edina, Minnesota.

He is reunited with many family members, including his grandfathers; Simon Blakley and Eugene Stone Sr., grandmother; Doreen Stone, father; Eugene Stone Jr., stepdad; Alvin Thunder Jr., uncle; Faron Blakley.

Justin is survived by his mother; Roxane Blakley; grandmother; Diane Blakely, uncle; Marvin Blakely, brothers; Alvin Thunder lll and Joseph Thunder, sisters; Nicole Stone, Patricia Blakely and Niomi Thunder, nieces and nephews; Jayden, Karina, Elysia, Clarissa, Nicholas Jr. and Kaylena.

An overnight wake for Justin will begin at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, July 14th at the Church of Gichitwaa Kateri in Minneapolis, MN. Justin will then travel to the Onigum Community Center in Onigum, MN for his second overnight wake, beginning at 3:00 p.m. Traditional services will begin at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 16th. Ozaawaagwaneyash Gresczyk will led the prayer service. Pallbearers will be Devin Thunder, Mark Klein, Geno Blackwolf, Jared Pigeon, Douglas Dick, Jr., Jordan Troy, David Jourdain, Sr. and Angelo Blackfeather. His honorary pallbearers are his siblings Alvin Thunder, Joe Thunder, Niomi Thunder, Nicole Stone, Patricia Blakely, his uncles Marvin Blakely, Orville Johnson, Ronald Johnson and Floyd Johnson, grandmother Diane Blakely and all his nieces, nephews and cousins. At the request of Justin's family, his cremated remains will be cherished by and remain with his family.
