Jack Larry Dahl, Sr., 71 of Bemidji, MN died Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at his home.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, July 14, 2019 at Farden Town Hall in rural Bemidji, MN. Arrangements are with the Cease Family Funeral Home of Bemidji.

He was born July 6, 1948 in Bemidji, MN the son of Alfred and Cecelia (Potter) Dahl. He attended elementary school in Nary and high school in Cass Lake. He spent 15 years working for ServiceMaster, usually at the Potlatch Lumber Mill. He married Florine Bellanger-Iverson, resulting in the birth of James and Brenda. He later met Denise Johnson, they married, and had the four remaining children; Mike, Jack, Brent, and Christine. He attended Bemidji Vo-Tech and graduated with a degree in Carpentry. He worked in carpentry for some years. Jack met his special friend Anna Cockman, and spent the remaining years with her until her passing in 2006. In 1992 he began work for Leech Lake Gaming, and worked there until his retirement in 2009. He was an outdoorsman as a young man, enjoying time in the woods, hunting, and fishing. He enjoyed riding his four wheeler, shooting sports, going to the Casino, spending time with his dog Nacho, his friends, and family.

Sisters, Linda (Steve) Waale of East Grand Forks, MN,

Marlyce Gehrke of Columbia Falls, Montana,

30 Grandchildren, 6 Great-Grandchildren, numerous Nieces, and Nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Jean Dahl, Eileen Dahl, former spouses Denise Dahl, and Anna Cockman.
