Marvin Clarence Pellerin Sr.

August 12, 1931 ~ July 3, 2019 (age 87)

Marvin C. Pellerin, Sr. "Gwiiwizens", 87, of Cloquet, Minnesota, a member of the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa, began his journey on Wednesday, July 3, 2019, with his family by his side.

Marvin was born on August 12, 1931, on the Fond du Lac Reservation, the son of Alice Colborn-Paquette and Frank Pellerin and Fred Petite.

Marvin is a US Army veteran of the Korean War, where he earned a Purple Heart and the Korean Service Medal with two bronze service stars.

Marvin will be sadly missed by Holly, his best friend and wife of 44 years; sister Rosie and other brothers and sisters; children: Gilbert, Marvin Jr., Mary, Jeri, Donna (Angelo), Robert (Rose), Theresa, and John-John (D'Arcey); grandchildren: Geoff, Dominick (Aubry), Michael, Alice Ann (Travis), Chris, Jessica (Mike), Liz M. (Alex), Bila (Jayne), Tricia (Aaron), Jade, Sammy (Dannell), Lizzy R. (Nick), Riva, Junior L., Isiah, Alex, Mario, James, Anthony, Brina, Rico, and Noah; great-grandchildren: Alma, Jada, Isaac, Jaden, Jasmine, Johnny, Nahjia, Santana, Talin, Arisan, Jr., Nya, Harmony, Phoenix, Leni and Kalepi; many cousins, nieces and nephews; and many others who consider him Grandpa.

A traditional wake will begin on Saturday, July 6, at 7:00pm at the Cloquet Community Center, and will continue until the service at 11:00am on Sunday, July 7. Interment will be in the Holy Family Cemetery, Cloquet.
