Virgil Lussier

Virgil Lussier, 59, of Red Lake, MN died Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at Red Lake IHS Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, June 24, 2019 at the NEW Little Rock Center in Red Lake. A wake will begin at 1:00 pm on Sunday June 23 at the NEW Little Rock Center and will continue until the time of the services on Monday. Interment will be at the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Red Lake under the direction of the Cease Family Funeral Home in Bemidji.

Virgil was born May 25, 1960 in Red Lake, MN the son of Paul and Jennie (Johnson) Lussier. He was raised and educated in Red Lake. He was disabled from the very early age of 11, but was always positive about his recovery. He was considered the longest survivor on Dialysis (30 years) at Red Lake mainly because of his healthy lifestyle. He enjoyed being outside tending his garden or fishing. His cats were very important to him as well as cheering for the Minnesota Vikings.

He is survived by his brother Jerome Lussier, sisters Gloria Negrette, Debra Lussier and Janice Lussier, as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Gerald, Julius, and Anthony Lussier, sisters Paulette Gibson, Geraldine Parkhurst and Connie Lussier.
