Margaret Muggs (Beaulieu) Hardy

September 29, 1939 ~ June 21, 2019 (age 79)

Margaret "Muggs" (Beaulieu) Hardy, "Nenookaasi" which means "Hummingbird" 79, of Cass Lake, Minnesota began her journey to the spirit world on Friday, June 21st, 2019 from the Sanford Hospital in Bemidji, MN. She was born on September 29, 1939 in Bemidji, MN the daughter of Ida (Fairbanks) and George Beaulieu.

Born and raised in Bemidji, blessing our lives with a hero's love and loyalty. She taught us dedication to family, friends and those in need. With a dedicated heart and strong will spirit and soul, our family had to sadly let her go.

Grandchildren, children, adopted families galore, Margaret "Muggsy" Hardy was a matriarchal beauty we adored.

A life filled with enjoyments of going to the casino, beading, rummaging, recycling and porcupine work, helping those in need and always trying to feed people with her delicious dishes she cooked. Her "Tuna Mac" was infamous, she would make it for often for other services. Muggs grew up watching her brothers 8 track race in the cities. That sparked an interest in her, and she began racing in the powder puff races and diagnosing mechanical issues by ear. Muggs loved feeding and watching her hummingbirds and she couldn't go to bed at night without watching Stephen Colbert. Margaret was a collective soul of treasures, a hummingbird always on the go.

She is welcomed to the spirit world by her parents; George and Ida Beaulieu, daughter; April J. Hardy, son; Daniel J Hardy, siblings; Kenneth Beaulieu, Sr., Anson Beaulieu, Roy Beaulieu and Robert Holstein, aunties; Dora Duffy, Ruby Losh and Beatrice Losh, uncles; Henry Johnson and Robert Johnson.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her children; Howard Hardy of Cass Lake, Yvonne Hardy of Cass Lake, Mary Lou Hardy of Bemidji and all of her grandkids, great grandkids, sisters; Donna Beaulieu of Bemidji, Shirley Beaulieu of Bemidji, brothers; David Beaulieu of Bemidji and Larry (Connie) Beaulieu of Cass Lake, other relatives, many friends and her "Homie" Angie Headbird.

A wake for Margaret will begin at 5:00 p.m., Monday, June 24th and continue until her 2:00 p.m. service on Wednesday, June 26th all to be held at the Veterans Memorial Building in Cass Lake, MN. Pallbearers for Margaret are Paul Wenell, Mike Olson, Chris "Gumby" Fisher, George Beaulieu, Kenneth "Guy" Beaulieu and Leo Fisher-Jones. Honorary pallbearers are her "Homie" Angie Headbird, all of her grandkids and family. Interment will be in the Sugar Bush Cemetery following her service.
