RED LAKE FAMILY & CHILDREN SERVICES

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The Business Manager is responsible for overseeing the business department including supervision of grants, reporting on grants, coding bills, maximizing reimbursements, creating budgets, managing day to day operations to guarantee company efficiency, ensure revenue is in correct funding accounts, and assist with payroll. Reports to Director, full-time position w/benefits, salary; DOQ.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee Business Department:

o Responsible for daily oversight of Business Department Staff time management and time reporting.

o Part of a team that is responsible for addressing Business Department staff disciplinary issues, corrective actions, per policy.

o Responsible for coaching and mentoring Business Department staff with the goal of retention.

o To ensure errors are reduced that impact reimbursements

• Improve Outcomes for Business Department:

o Identify areas in need of strength building during evaluation.

o Ensure all reimbursements from all sources are put into the correct funding codes by the Finance Department, Track expenditures on grants and/or other projects.

o Responsible for ensuring bills are paid and coded correctly, and supplies are ordered for Red Lake Family and Children Services.

• Assist with Payroll:

o Process and sort Family and Children Services timesheets, fix errors, ensure coding is correct, deliver timesheets to payroll.

o Prepare employee leave records, maintain employee files that include timesheet and payroll information.

o Other duties as assigned

• Foster and Maintain Relationships:

o Work with Red Lake Nation Accounting Department and process their requests.

o Engage in teamwork within the Agency, assisting others when needed and requesting assistance when needed.

o Participate in cross-training to gain understanding of other positions including Family Preservation and Support, Intake and Response, Foster care, IV-E.

o Abide by Red Lake Family and Children Services Code of Ethics.

• Meet Goals Established by the Agency:

o Ensure staff complete items on the electronic record in accordance with policy and procedure

o Ensure staff adhere to data privacy rules and regulations

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master or Bachelor's or Combination of Associates degree in business administration, business management, or related field with 5 years' experience

• Must have a valid Minnesota State issued driver's license, reliable transportation and automobile insurance.

• Employment is contingent upon passing a pre-employment drug test and comprehensive background check.
