Indiana school district to fire principal, teacher who labeled autistic student 'most annoying'

A school district in Indiana voted Tuesday night to fire three teachers and a principal after the district received national attention when a student with autism was awarded a "Most Annoying" superlative.

The Times of Northwest Indiana reported that Gary city officials including the school board's emergency manager spoke at a public school board meeting Tuesday night, where they announced the decision.
