Ruth Adele (Jourdain) Beaulieu

Ruth Adele (Jourdain) Beaulieu, age 90, a lifelong Red Lake resident, was called home by her loving Father on Wednesday, June 5, 2019, from the hospital in Red Lake surrounded by her family.

Ruth was born April 16, 1929 to Charles and Bertha (Mason) Jourdain in Red Lake. She attended Red Lake School until 8th grade. She later married the love of her life, Simon Beaulieu and now returns to join him.

In addition to her husband, Simon, Ruth is now reunited with her parents, her brothers, Mark Jourdain, Sr., Jimmy and William Jourdain; sisters, Alice Hofmaster, Katie Jones, and Mary Jane Sigana; mother-in-law, Jane T. Beaulieu; great-granddaughter, Nakiah Stillday and great-great-grandchild, Maci Nelson. She also rejoins her special furry friend, Riley, whom she loved like a son.

She is survived by a son, Alden (Patty) Beaulieu, Sr. and daughter, Gail Stillday, both of Red Lake as well as eight grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren plus one on the way.

Besides leaving behind such a huge legacy, she also leaves behind memories of time spent at the casino, playing Bingo, and the smell of her baking apple pies and cinnamon rolls. She was an avid reader of the National Enquirer.

Services for Ruth will be held at the Red Lake Center, Red Lake, MN beginning Monday, June 10, 2019 at 1 p.m. and ending with her funeral service on Tuesday, June 11, 2019 with Father Jerry Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Red Lake, MN

Assisting as pallbearers are Marcus Beaulieu, Brendan Beaulieu, Kyle Stillday, Sr., Kyle Stillday, Jr., Wayne Stillday, Gary Jourdain, Jr., Michael Jourdain Sr., Elwyn Jourdain, Jr., Sheldon French, and Dominic Nelson. Alternate pallbearers are Anthony Beaulieu, Aaron Beaulieu and Kenton Stillday, Jr. Honorary pallbearers are Marilyn "Peaches" Graves, Alden "Porky" Beaulieu, Beth Beaulieu, Brayden Beaulieu, Lori Beaulieu, Karla French, Priscilla Stately, Berta Ann Smith, Mona Sigana, Shirley Lussier, Mark Jourdain, Jr., Jimmy Jones, Charmaine Branchaud and Randy Stillday.
