BEMIDJI, MN– Two people have been arrested in connection to an armed robbery at a restaurant on the Red Lake Indian Reservation.
According to the United States Attorney's Office-District of Minnesota, the two people were arrested Thursday and charges are expected to be filed soon.
Authorities say the two are accused of entering the Snack Shack on May 1, armed with a metal pipe and a firearm.
One of the suspects allegedly held the metal pipe to an employee's head while the other apparently brandished a firearm and stole money from the cash register and an employee's purse.
Red Lake Tribal Police Department and the FBI Headwaters Safe Trails Task Force assisted with the investigation.
