ART COORDINATOR
RED LAKE NATION BOYS & GIRLS CLUB

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
The Art Coordinator is responsible for planning, implementing, supervising, and evaluating activities provided in The Arts Core Program area. Reports to Executive Director & Program Director, full-time position w/benefits, hours vary, salary; DOQ.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Create an environment that facilitates the achievement of youth development outcomes in accordance with BGCA commitment to quality
• Promote and stimulate program participation
• Provide guidance and role modeling to members
• Effectively implement and administer programs, services and activities
• Ensure safety of members and provide clean environment (daily cleaning/organizing)
• Prepare periodic activity reports (monthly calendar)
• Monitor the academic progress of Club members through report card review
• Train and supervise volunteers as needed relative to The Arts
• Implement extracurricular activities for members
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Be comfortable performing multi-faceted duties in conjunction with day-to-day activities
• May assist with public relations, special programs and events as needed
• Other Duties as assigned
EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school diploma required; Associate's degree in education/arts preferred
• Valid Driver's License and Proof of Insurance
• Minimum of one-year experience working with youth ages 6-18 in education, recreation and/or social services setting preferred
• Excellent communication skills both oral and written
• CPR and first aid certificates required within 6 months of employment
• Able to organize and supervise members in a safe environment
• Must motivate youth and manage behavior problems
• Ability to plan and implement quality programs for youth
• Shall communicate effectively with others
• Attendance and punctuality are required
• Employment is contingent upon passing a pre-employment drug test and background check. Red Lake Nation Boys & Girls Club has a zero tolerance policy
