Joe Biden's education plan calls for major increase in money for schools

Joe Biden released a series of education policy proposals on Tuesday, which included helping teachers pay off student loans, drastically increasing the number of mental health professionals in schools and tripling money for schools that have a high number of children from low-income families.

The plan was unveiled shortly before Biden spoke at an American Federation of Teachers town hall on Tuesday night in Houston. It was the first proposal unveiled by the Biden campaign.
