BP: Second person dies from head-on collision on Highway 2

BEMIDJI—A 73-year-old Bemidji woman has died from injuries suffered in a head-on collision Monday night on U.S. Highway 2 west of town that also claimed the life of a Bemidji man.

Margaret K. Porter was driving a 2007 Subaru Forester east in the westbound lane at approximately 11 p.m. Monday, according to the Minnesota Highway Patrol. She collided with a 2007 Pontiac G6, which was driven by 21-year-old Athena Anne Stanek of Fosston, in the 6500 block of Highway 2 near Pete's Place West.
