Earlene "Oge" Louise Ogema, "Animikiikaakwe" which means "Thunder Woman", 54, of Cass Lake, Minnesota was born on November 18th, 1965 and passed away peacefully on May 23rd, 2019 at Sanford Medical Center in Bemidji, MN. She was born to Darlene Louise (Kingbird) Ogema and Earl Ogema in Redby, MN.

Oge loved to laugh and joke and listen to her favorite music, C.C.R, the Eagles and Alan Jackson. She never missed watching her favorite soap opera the "Young and the Restless". Knowing she didn't have much time left, Oge wanted to spend as much time as she could with her family and friends. She will be greatly missed.

She is reunited with her mother; Darlene, father; Earl, daughter; Miranda, brother; "Ringo", sister; Vernadale, significant other; "Mussy Day", numerous other family and friends.

Those she leaves behind to cherish her memory are Victoria Ogema of Cass Lake, Veronica Ogema of Minneapolis, Clayton Slack, Jr. of Cass Lake and Travis Slack of Duluth, eight grandkids, many more relatives and friends.

An overnight wake for Oge will begin at 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 28th and continue until her 10:00 a.m. traditional service on Wednesday, May 29th all being held at the Facility Center in Cass Lake, MN. Waa-maajaa'iwed is Steve Jackson. Helping to lay Oge to rest are Keith St. Cyr, Alex Ducheanux, Dennis Littlewolf, Ken Smith, Joe Brown and Doug Howard. Her honorary pallbearers are Brenda "Binky" Smith, Sylvia Gale, Marlys Cournoyer, Rose Cournoyer, Debbie Cournoyer, all who knew and loved her, all her closest friends and family...too many to name. Interment will be in Morgan Cemetery at Oak Point, MN.
