Secretary – Drug Abuse Prevention Treatment
CHEMICAL HEALTH PROGRAMS

PRIMARY FUNTION:
To provide general receptionist/clerical services for program operations, reports to Supervisor. Full time with benefits, Salary; DOQ.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
• Maintain general office filing system
• Responsible for answering telephone and route telephone calls to appropriate personnel
• Greet visitors and refers to appropriate personnel
• Establish client appointments in cooperation with the counselors
• Purchase and inventory office supplies and materials and distribute
• Must be computer knowledge to be able to process letters, memorandums, correspondence and other material
• Arranges for meetings and travel for staff
• Makes Xerox copies of all letters, memorandums and materials that are part of the Chemical Dependency departments business when necessary
• Prepare purchase orders for payment of invoices
• Assists Counselors and Prevention Specialist with scheduling of prevention activities
• Responsible for maintaining and updating telephone extensions of all current employees
• Prepare time and attendance records in a timely basis
• Responsible for routing all correspondence, memorandums and reports
• Assist in maintaining client files
• Must maintain accurate records of all transactions
• Ability to deal with the public
• Must be punctual in work attendance
• Maintain strict confidentiality at all times
• Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must have a High School Diploma or GED
• Must have at least one year of chemical free
• Must have a valid Minnesota Driver’s License and auto insurance
• Must refrain from all mood altering chemicals
• Must participate in mandatory alcohol/drug testing
• Must be able to follow orders precisely and cooperate with other staff
• Must be familiar with confidentiality rules and regulations
• Must possess secretarial certificate from accredited vocational school or one-year experience in office procedures.
• Employment contingent upon successfully passing Pre-Employment Drug/Alcohol Test and Background Check
