Minneapolis MN. Students are gathering at Willard Park, May 24, 2019, to show how important climate change is. Their event a “Cookout for a World on Fire” is a part of the global day of action including youth climate strikes around the world.
“The climate is changing. It is up to us to fix the mess we made” said Lakira, a student in North Minneapolis.

Come out to Willard Park to laugh, play games, and eat, but most importantly come and learn about climate change and help come up with effective solutions to this disaster. This would feature youth and adult speakers to explain what is happening in our world with climate change.
“We have a single mission, to protect and hand on the planet to the next generation” said Angel Dixon, one of the student organizers.
If you are interested in voicing your opinions and ideas come out and join the movement. All ages are welcome.
