Joann B. Staples, age 71, of Cass Lake, Minnesota began her journey to the spirit world on Thursday, May 16th, 2019 from her home in Cass Lake, MN. She was born to Ima (White) and William Bobolink on April 11, 1948 in Battle Point, MN.

Joann loved going to bingo and playing the slot machines at the casino. She also enjoyed going to powwows, watching Storage Wars and Lifetime movies. What Joann loved most was being with all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren every chance she could.

Family that Joann has been reunited with are her husband; Donald Staples, her parents; Ima and William Bobolink, granddaughter; Janelle Jack, sisters; Marian and Mary Ann Bobolink, special sister; Caroline Monroe, niece; Jolynn Beaudreau and several other relatives.

Those she leaves behind to cherish her memory are her daughters; Dawn (George Fineday) Staples and Joann (Rodney Cooper) Staples both of Cass Lake, son; William (Jolene Kegg) Staples of Cass Lake, brother; Bruce Bobolink of Bena, sister; Gloria (Duane) Beaudreau of Cass Lake, special granddaughters in New York; Linda Kegg and Angelia Baker, grandchildren; Skylare, Sarrell, Donavan, William, Larrissa, Kelli, Kenny, Nigoni, William, Rosalie, Markell, Kyle, and Robin, numerous great grandchildren, nieces; Patricia, Barbara and Jenny, nephews; Warren and Aaron, her bingo partners; Armella Charwood and Alberta Jones, other family members and friends.

A wake for Joann will begin at 6:00 p.m., Saturday, May 18th and continue until her 11:00 a.m. funeral service on Monday, May 20th all being held at the Veteran's Memorial Building in Cass Lake, MN. Father Matthew Cobb will officiate. Pallbearers for Joann are William White, Skylare Jack, Robin Roy, Jr., Donavan Staples, George Fineday and Markell Whitefeather. Alternate pallbearers are Adrian Ellis, Bradley Ellis and Warren Bobolink. Her honorary pallbearers are all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Interment will be in the Prince of Peace Cemetery at Cass Lake, MN.
